Have you ever wondered who in the future might end up reading your diary/journal?

I've often wondered that as I write my personal thoughts and worries and goings-on in my journal (my physical paper one, lol). Like, will they be my future children? Or grandchildren? Or some future archeologist who has to decipher my strange writing? (poor soul) Or someone from a dystopian post-apocalyptic wasteland who scoffs at my trifling troubles and says that I should just be grateful for running water? It's very interesting to think about. And I also include little emoticons in my journal (yes I write them sideways too :P), so would whoever ends up reading it be able to decipher that those particle squiggles aren't actually language but a representation of non-verbal emotions? 'Tis very interesting to me.

But, whoever ends up reading my journal, I just hope that it gets read. I think it would be sad if nobody ended up reading it ever. Though hopefully not while I'm alive. Oh the embarrassment! @.@

What about you? Do you keep a journal? And do you want your diary/journal to ever be read by a future-dweller?

When I write in my journal, I mostly do it just for me. I have also thought about others reading my journal someday and the thought kind of bothers me. I don't know why. I guess that my journal is so personal I don't like the idea of someone reading it, even after I am dead.
